Welcome to YouTXT!

YouTXT is a service setup to allow anyone access to providing information via txt.

Removing the costs associated with agencies and mobile companies, YouTXT brings you a low cost, self managed service that allows you to create and share information via txt.

What that information is, or how it gets used is up to you. We would love to hear what you have to say about the YouTXT service.

Currently we are in version 0.1 (beta).

Your feedback will help us build a better service, so please share your thoughts with us!

Hi, I’ve got a couple of questions.

    1. Do you have any intentions of making an open interface to your system, I’m looking at offering an information service but having to log in each time to add/update the information is an extra overhead, if I can talk to an API that would be much easier as I can put it into the current data loop so that every time the data is updated the txt message is also updated.

    2. Will you be profit sharing with any of your members? I.e. if I generate 1,000+ requests a week are you going to share any of the profits you make with me?

    Cheers, Jason

    Hi Jason,

Sorry it took so long to get back to you – but now we can say yes we do have an API that you can use : http://youtxt.co.nz/CoreServices.asmx – it will allow you to create, delete, update and manage any code and associated message.

It is open use for developers set on the general YouTXT 8808 shortcode – If you want to have a different shortcode and rate setup we can help you with that. Give me an email shout anytime and happy to answer any questions you have.

    Cheers,

    Sam
